SCHOOL YEAR COMPONENT
During the school year, guidance advisors will be in contact with students, counselors, and parents. Upward Bound school visits take place two to four times per month at local high schools. One Saturday per month the Upward Bound group will meet at WCC. In our guidance visits we:
- Improve English & Math skills.
- Complete college applications.
- Prepare for college entrance exams like the SAT and ACT.
- Gain information about scholarships and ways to pay for college.
- Fill out college financial aid forms.
- Explore career options, college majors, and choosing the right college for you.
